Seraphina Martin combines the legendary animals of India with imagery from gardens, domestic and wild.

Sensitively hand coloured, the prints show an innocent and fruitful world. The non toxic technique of Solar Plate etching is entirely appropriate for this gentle theme as it uses the sun to etch photosensitive plates, avoiding the acid used in traditional etching. Seraphina Martin studied art at the Sorbonne in Paris, was born in India and is a celebrated Australian master printer.
