Anne O’Connor is a Launceston contemporary photographer who interprets Tasmanian landscape with almost monochromatic images.
Using the wind and the waves that are typical of our island she makes sublime dramatic works that speak of history. Her works are printed on brushed aluminium or acrylic. She was a finalist in the Bay of Fires Art prize in 2017 and has an impressive exhibition history. Anne also works with abstraction as shown in her Creative Construct series and in 2021 will show exciting new work that explores the interface between stitching and photography.
