D Moopoo’s delightful assemblages and expressive paintings hide a very serious intent.

Concerned about the consumer treadmill the rest of us ride, D makes his art from the discards of capitalism. Influenced by Kurt Schwitters and the Dadaists, these works have titles that express a mind delighted by words.

He is able to see objects as they are, surfaces, textures, tensions and colours. He has a way of weaving them together, creating meaning from disparate things, constantly feeding his oeuvre with philosophical, poetical and historical readings.

Best known for his charming little robots, his large assemblages and paintings are in collections all over the globe.
