Nataša Milenović grew up in Germany with Serbian heritage.
Her preference to work with metal crystallized when she attended the Werkbund Werkstatt Art School in Nürnberg. After completing her apprenticeship as a goldsmith 20 years ago, she received a Duisberg Gesellschaft grant to work with Regine Schwarzer in Adelaide.
In 2001 she migrated to Tasmania and established her own practice. She received a New work grant from the Australia Council in 2006 for her first solo exhibition Hidden, and was awarded Best New Stallholder at the Deloraine Craft Fair in 2008.
Nataša is intrigued by the repeating pattern of the natural world, especially fungi and flora. Her jewellery combines organic and geometric forms. Currently she is delving deeper into forging, fold forming and patinas in her work from her studio in Balfour House, Cygnet
