Vanishing

Erin Amor’s third solo exhibition builds on her previous shows that explored the warming world, this time focussed on the deep forests of Southern Tasmania. Her title, Vanishing, is a reminder that as the Spring and Summers warm the fires are destroying something irreplaceable. To express the beauty and fragility of the Tarkine she uses transparent glazes in oils, usually on timber panel, with a glorious combination of abstraction and Sublime realism.
