The Green Walk

This painting is a study in transparent greens, sap green, pthalocyanine green and viridian, darkened by alizarin crimson. It is also a painting of the path near my home on the shore of the river Derwent, a path I have walked with family and dog many times. The walk is not an event but more like the mortar that glues my life together. We all have walks like this.
