The inspiration for this work came from contemplations around the idea of rouge or blush as an aid to looking vital, but which is washed away or temporary, as it is an artificial vitality.

Whether it is something that is applied to our person or a temporary diversion, for example, shopping, tuning into our various devices or searching for a new thing, it is only a fleeting external solution. There is no problem with any of this, except when we do not recognize that it is not a long lasting answer.
