This is a red study based on Tintoretto’s painting of the same name. His usual ingredients of cloud and sky are there but the lovely maiden threatened by the dragon is reduced to a curve, The little jewel like dragon is coiled in the bottom left corner and St George and his steed loom from the right in grey. Framed in white.
